I remember the wonderful visits and memories of Christmas Eve.

Always enjoyed our afternoon "teas" with Addie. She made us all
laugh and could hold her own with Norma (no small feat). So glad we had
the chance to visit one last time.

One of my fondest memories was of my trip
to New Hampshire. Addie, "Sam" and I went out for lobster
dinner, a real treat for me, then went home, sat on the living room floor and
poured over all the newspapers I had saved and bought. That was a great
night.

Many years of friendship, many hours drinking coffee and telling stories.
As recent as 2003, she arrived like a young girl, laughed and played like no
time passed. Always a pleasure.

On July 3, 1975, I was in active
labor, my mother-in-law Addie and father-in-law Charlie were in New York to baptize
their grandson Adam while I gave birth to our second son Benjamin, their second
grandchild. I was doing transition breathing waiting for Steve, my husband
and their son, who was late. I was in my bedroom waiting & waiting
with contractions getting closer and closer. there was a knock at my door
and Addie (my mother-in-law) said, "I don't know anything about natural
childbirth, but should Stephen be in the basement polishing his
shoes?" Bless her heart, when she heard me yell "No-o-o-o!"
she flew down stairs and gave him the devil. We left for the hospital 3
minutes later. I had the best mother-in-law in the universe! I was
blessed.

Once I made my grandmother laugh by dressing up as a chicken. Once I
walked hand and hand by a lake in Vermont. Once we played cards and she
let me win. Once we snuck away and just sat and talked a while. Once
she came to see a ball game in Virginia. Once I had a grandmother who
loved me very much. Once she had a grandson who loved her very much and
once again we will be together and our love will never end. I love you
grandma.

After meeting Grandma Rossi at her home in Florida, she would always call me
Jeff. Meghan and I had dated for over two years the second time I saw
Grandma R. This time and from then on she called me Eric. She was
one of the sweetest Grandmothers I have ever met. With love.

Fond memories of the walk through our backyard woods with the grandchildren
to the "cookie lady's" house. She was really one grand lady.

She was one of my most organized
tax accounts. I never met her, but I knew she was a lovely woman.

Summers at Grandma and Grandpa's house in
Barnard are some of my best memories as a child. Grandma would listen to
my tales of fishing in the pond and say, "well for heaven's
sake." She always had my little chair and comic books waiting for
me. I love her so much.

Mom: For 17 years you shared our home and made every day a special
one. You loved me as you loved your own son. I will treasure so many
wonderful memories that enriched our lives. I love you.

In our travels to Barnard, Vt., Henniker, New Hampshire, and Lake Mary, Florida,
Addie and Charlie, and then Sam accepted us one week a year and treated us like
royalty. The time spend will always be in our memory. Addie was a
Lady's Lady. She had beauty, brains, and personality. Nobody could
beat her at Scrabble, not even Sam!

A very fond memory was the special
"Christmas Drawers" when I was growing up and my mom was away in the
hospital.

My Mom, myself, Addie, Sam & Ginny
Beal went to Ft. Lauderdale to see the Phantom of the Opera. This was my most
favorite show and I had the soundtrack but had never seen it live. I was beyond
excited to be there and Addie was sitting next to me during the show. At the end
my mom and I were crying because we were so moved by the experience and the
story and Addie turns to me to ask why I was crying and I couldn't answer and
she says "Don't worry Holly, the Phantom will be ok." She was one of
the most wonderful people to know and I too will miss her dearly and know that
she will always smile down upon us!!! I am lucky to have had the pleasure of
knowing her.

My fondest memories of Auntie were
her beautiful letters full of witty wisdom. As serious as she seemed, she
had a wonderful sense of humor.

One of our fondest memories will be
Christmas morning at the Scarfo's. For a good number of years, Charlyne
and I have been blessed as we shared Christmas with Addie, Same, Henry, and the
puppies. "Addie Mom", as we called her, always embodied the true
meaning and spirit of Christmas ... her loving nature, her caring, warmth and
kindness were ever present... and in our hearts, always will be.

Wasn't able to see Mr. Rossi
often, only weddings, graduation, etc. But, I always enjoyed her
company. I think she wasn't used to our side of the family. She was
quiet and we aren't.

It's hard to think of just one memory. I have so many wonderful
memories of such a wonderful, inspirational, loving woman that I have been
blessed with as my grandmother. Even if her physical presence was not with
me at holidays or other times, she never forgot to send a card for every single
calendar event throughout the year. I knew she was always thinking of me
as I was of her. Her favorite color is pink. She is a size small and
so am I. Similarities and I hope to grow into the amazing woman, known as
my Grandmother!
Love Always and Forever,

This memory is a repeat of what I wrote
to Adrienne. Adelaide wrote me a lovely note when my husband died in
1987. She learned from a friend that I weeded, watered, mulched the
flowers at the Raiano/Rossi burial plot in Old St. Francis Cemetery.
She was most appreciative. My mother, Elizabeth Mascetti spoke highly of
Addie and Charles and Addie's parents, the Raiano's. I will remember her in
my prayers and will continue to tend the flowers.
Sincerely

I remember when I saw her last, she
was telling the story of how a friend told her: "children (and dogs)
should always be called in a minor key." We laughed about how funny
that was, but it does seem to work better than just yelling!
We will all miss Addie.

To my sweet and loving friend, Addie:
Oh so many memories of Addie over the years - which one shall I share.
Maybe the one when we challenged each other over scrabble. Both
wanting fiercely to win. To watch her make her moves with tenacity,
skill and determination was a game within itself. Addie beat me most of
the time but when I won she accepted defeat with humor and further challenge!
She was not only my son's mother-in-law but my greatest friend. I will
always love her and never forget all the good times we enjoyed together.
Always love, Fran Hall

Seeing Auntie Addie and Auntie Yollie
reunited one last time at the Rossi Family reunion in 2001. Photos of them
together in their 80's at Highland Lake and with their young children were
priceless. May they enjoy many more happy times together in Heaven!

It was always so much
fun to hear "mom" tell the story of how "little old Carolyn"
in kindergarten walked Adrienne home from school because she was hurt. Her
stories were always so entertaining!

I was mowing the back yard as usual and Addie was hanging her laundry out to
dry. All of sudden she was gone as if by alien abduction. Suddenly she
reappeared in the pool. I guess she took a false step. The only thing
damaged were the clothes on her back and I'm sure a little of her pride. We
both had a good laugh, although I wasn't supposed to bring that subject up
too often.

Back ages ago in New Hampshire, Addie, Sam and I were having lunch at a
Japanese Restaurant. The chef was showing off his skills as he
prepared the meal. He looked at us and said, "You are
family?" We said no. I spoke up and asked Addie if she
would share daughter Adrienne with me. With a big smile she said
"YES." Addie made me a happy lady to share such a precious
daughter. I was then known as O.M. (Other Mother). Thank
You Addie!
